The truck is still being looked at and they say we might get it back tomorrow. For today we are confined to Leon because the strike is still on. Hoping for better news on the truck and the strike soon.
Pray! God started and upholds this mission. We depend totally on Him for direction and provision. Give! Finances and sponsorship funds are needed for our mission projects. Donations of clothing and supplies are also needed. We need help locating and applying for grants. Go! Participate in a short-term mission trip and experience first hand the blessings and excitement of ministry to the people of Nicaragua.
NEW SONG'S MISSION
New Song Mission Nicaragua exists to bless and help the Nicaraguan people. They have been plagued by natural disasters and economic and political troubles, but remain a strong and resourceful people. We do not want to develop dependency in those we help. To that end we provide many opportunities for growth and development, spiritually and educationally. We offer our assistance and encouragement in the spirit of Christian love and service to a people of dignity whom we respect and admire. While it is impossible to meet every need, we hope to build faith in God and hope for the future in the people we serve.
MY MISSION
Teach love by showing love and bring smiles to all the children and parents faces by raising funds for health, homes, clothing, churches, school uniforms & supplies, books & computers for education and leisure, bikes, and sports teams & equipment for people in the villages of Candelaria, La Isla, Santa Matilda, Chichigalba, and other poverty-stricken areas of Nicaragua. Getting children and young adults an education so that they can hopefully attend college and/or find jobs and support their families. Bring people to the Lord by showing his love and sharing His word. Bring YOU to the Nicaraguan villages and see if it changes your life.
NEW SONG'S GOALS
See all of the churches grow with new souls and be discipled for Christ and reach many youth for the Kingdom of God in both Candelaria and a new outreach town called Tonanla. Complete restrooms, stage and lighting system for the church/community center. Prepare athletic fields with goals and equipment and develop leagues Continue to develop the organic Herb and Vegetable Gardens and create nutritional juices and herbal medicines Complete a 1,600 square foot fully outfitted dental/medical clinic and create and mobile Medical/Dental unit for the outreach rural areas Develop many small home businesses Continue to develop the Bible College for Native Pastors and Evangelists Build more smal houses for the homeless. Sponsor small church projects in outlying villages and the pastors who service them. Our hope is to connect these rural pastors and churches to US pastors and churches to adopt them out for support and encouragement. Build a secure Industrial Building that the sewing and hammock making ministries can house their equipment and work to provide for their families.
All of these projects will help the people to become self-sufficient and to minister to their community. We do not want to be a mission that keeps the needy in dependency. We want to help them to meet their basic needs and develop skills for employment. We desire to support the local Christian leaders and help them to spread the Good News of Jesus' love in surrounding communities. We hope to help them to plant more churches in the future.
